Białystok Science and Technology Park

As a budgetary authority of the City of Białystok, Białystok Science and Technology Park is a co-executor of the project under the name Białystok Science and Technology Park (Białostocki Park Naukowo-Technologiczny in Polish).

The Białystok Science and Technology Park (BPN-T) Project was co-financed by the EU, within the framework of the Development of Eastern Poland Operational Programme 2007-2013, Priority Axis I Modern Economy, Action I.3 Supporting Innovation. The beneficiary of the project was the City of Białystok. The project was carried out in the years 2008-2015.

Financial Resources:

  • Total project value: PLN 167,741,883.69,
  • Eligible amount of expenditures of the project: PLN 142,386,298.89.

European Regional Development Fund Co-financing: PLN 118,108,637.04 and PLN 6,998,091.26 from public funding (totalling 87.86 % of co-financing).


Project Description:


The purpose of the project was to build the infrastructure necessary for the creation of Białystok Science and Technology Park – an entity serving the purpose of increasing innovativeness among regional enterprises, incubating new companies and attracting investors.


Objective and the Results:


The main objective of the project was to create favourable conditions for the transfer of knowledge and technologies between scientific bodies and entrepreneurs. The Park, operating as a municipal budgetary authority, is an institution that supports development of local economy, offers advisory services regarding establishing and developing enterprises, allows transferring technologies, as well as converting scientific research and development results into technological innovations. Simultaneously it provides entrepreneurs with an opportunity to carry out economic activities through leasing its buildings and technical infrastructure on preferential terms.
